General Rules
1. Players have a choice; they can either create one Universal Account for all of their characters, in which case their Usernames and Avatars can be something other than based around a specific character. Or if they wish they can make separate accounts for each character, in which case their Username and Avy MUST be reflective of that character.
2. Respect - Be courteous to all other members and Staff alike and they will treat you the same. If a problem with another member arises, contact a Mod and they will try to work things out, if that cannot be done then one or BOTH parties will be expelled.
3. Advertise in the appropriate board; doing so anywhere else will result in Moderation. And ANY posting of adult material will result in an immediate ban!
4. Game rating is:
To keep in line with Proboards' ToS. Swearing is perfectly fine IC, but please try to keep it to a minimum in the shoutbox or OOC threads, occasional outbursts are understandable but don't make every other word the F-word.
5. Fanfiction can be posted directly, attached as a document or linked to (such as on fanfiction.net) . As stated above the game rating applies to fics as well, like they were an IC post, so nothing that's described as a graphic slaughterhouse or really kinky.
6. Keep subjects of politics, religion, race etc IC-only! Once they've been brought out of the game they risk offending other members and may lead to fights.
Roleplaying Rules
1. No Godmoding; nobody's invincible and MUST take a hit every now and then. A slight modification to this is that villains are allowed to auto-hit, but whoever's controlling them (whether as a PC or temp/NPC) cannot declare damage.
Example:
"Barbatos used his Death Abyss and choke-slammed Stan into the ground." - Acceptable
"Barbatos used his Death Abyss and choke-slammed Stan into the ground which broke his back, leaving him paralyzed." - NOT Acceptable!
It's the opposing player's decision on how much damage his or her character takes.
-In regards to Sorey, Rose orany similar characters, their players can NPC the Seraphim if one are taken. However once someone apps them the players will need to discuss how they want to proceed with the fusions.
2. There is no Word Count, however a minimum of a paragraph is required.
3. NO Script Style!
4. If players want their threads to remain between them and a specific player, it needs to be marked in the title with either the player's or char's names. If there is no indicator in the title, that means the thread's open to all.
5. Be careful about open public fights...if you're not then any Evil-doers won't be the only force the good guys tangle with, hehehehehe.
6. Activity Checks once a month, don't forget us now.
6. And most importantly HAVE FUN!!!...or else
Character Rules
1. You can App as many characters as you want. All that we ask is players keep the ones they have active before introducing new ones. If you're posting an App as a WIP, you have 2 weeks to complete it. If you're reserving a canon, you have 5 days to put up at least a WIP.
2. Originals from the Tales series worlds are perfectly welcome, and they can be anything that's been featured in the series.
3. Xillia 2 showed us that multiple realities can exist around a single world, with that said you are free to play as an Alternate Universe/Timeline version of a canon. However, there will be no gender or species bending, orientation is fine though..
4. To help categorize characters, we'll use the Dungeons & Dragons Alignment system. For those unfamiliar with them, they are:
-Good-
Lawful Good - A purely good character that will always do what they feel is right and Just.
Neutral Good- Someone who might bend the rules at times, but is still willing to help others and also cooperate with authorities.
Chaotic Good - Someone who fights for good but has looser ethics; generally taking the law into their own hands and is more willing to maim or kill.
-Neutral-
Lawful Neutral - You hold the law in the highest regard and will do whatever it takes to uphold it.
True Neutral - You have no 'real' affiliation and only act to preserve the balanced of the universe; if an act of evil is committed in this character's presence, they must see that a good deed ALSO occurs and vice versa.
Chaotic Neutral - Acting purely in self-interest and will do whatever it takes to meet your goal.
-Evil-
Lawful Evil - You believe in Order, but will commit vile acts to create and maintain it.
Neutral Evil - You do evil 'for evil's sake!' and work to corrupt others so that evil will reign supreme!
Chaotic Evil - Out to spread anarchy! Completely destroy the establishment...even if it's ALSO evil!"
Note: It's understandable if players don't know the exact alignment of their character, again it's to help identify them. However we'll be watching Chaotic Neutral closely since someone with that is basically a complete Sociopath and can commit any action; so for anyone who uses it their personality HAS to match up.
